The Pilgrimage (2)


We stopped to eat our sandwiches at St Columba's Bay
 
  
 
  
 
  
 
 
 
  
     
Again a pause for reflection and we then picked up two stones, throwing one into the water and keeping the other

   

Then continued on the pilgrmage, going to the north of the island

 
Here the midges came out in force 
     


 

 

and around this 'hermit's cell' they were even thicker

 

 

 

So we didn't stay long and made our way across the island back to the abbey.
